Toyoko Inn Nagasaki Ekimae

Checking in was easy. They have staff to help you, but they have machines with different language modes that take you through check-in and check-out procedures. They have lockers on the lobby where you can leave your luggage before/ after your stay. You enter a combination you choose and close the lock. The numbers reset to 0000 as the lock closes. When you want your bags, you know right where they are and how to get them easily. The room itself was very clean and had enough space. We had a queen sized bed with enough space to easily walk all the way around it with a desk on one side and a small table and chairs on the other. The TV, mounted to the wall at the foot of the bed, displayed useful information such as our room's wifi and password in addition to other channels. Remotes for the light and TV were easy to reach from the bed. The bathroom was small but very usable. One odd thing was the water control. There was a knob to choose where the water came out, so the same on/off knob was used for the sink, tub, and shower. That means if you sneak in to use the toilet while your roommate is in the shower, you can't wash your hands. That's not going to happen often, but it isn't a concern in most hotels. The breakfast (6:30 -9:00) was an ample buffet with a variety of options, many of which changed the following morning. Don't wait until the last moment to head down to breakfast, though. By 8:40, many items run out and are not replaced, limiting your options.

The new phase is very clean and comfortable, rain-shower is the best!!

Location would be great if you travelled to the city by train because the property is about 10 mins walk from Nagasaki JR Station. But I choose this property because it's walking distance away from Nagasakiminato Terminal where I depart for my Gunkanjima Tour. There's also a tram station right outside the property which is really convenient.
